Your help improves Living Conditions for the Rescues
When you sponsor a project or fund a need, know that Cloven Heart is eternally grateful for your kind gift. Sponsorship comes with a plaque with your name attached to the object and a notable mention in our monthly newsletter.
Predator Proof Chicken House
$350 per house, 4 needed. We have been working on upgrading all of the birds' living conditions. This included getting better sturdy housing for them. We have four more houses to go. |
Cargo Transport Van for Smaller Rescues
$20,000 used We are in need of a small cargo van to transport the smaller farmed animal rescues to the vet. This van will also aid in getting supplies, helping with rescues, and transporting animals to new homes. If you know of someone who can donate a van, that works great. |
Small Horse Trailer
$10,000 We are in need of a small horse trailer for the larger equine farmed animals to take them to the vet. Sometimes, they need care that the farm vet can't take care of at the sanctuary. Having a trailer will assist us in times of emergencies. |
New Perimeter Fencing
$50,000 The sanctuary needs new perimeter fencing. There are many areas that have been compromised and wood posts that are rotting. So if you know a fencing company that could do this for us, this would be so helpful to keep everyone safe. |
Security Cameras for Barn and Barnyard
$1000 total for supplies. There have been several concerns at other sanctuaries where people have tried to steal the rescues. We don't want to wait for that to happen for us to not be proactive first. We'll need 6 cameras and a Wi-Fi signal extender. |
Chicken Hoop Coops
$600 per coop. We would like to upgrade our chicken rescues' living situation. We need 6 new coops. These coops will provide additional predator and Avian flu protection. We can build these coops, we just need supplies. You will get a plaque with your name on the coop. |
Mini Horse Shed for Oberon and Titania
$5000 We are in need of a horse shed so we can relocate the mini horses to a larger yard space. They currently have a stall they can use in our feed shed, but we'd like to upgrade their living area and yard. You will get a plaque on their shed with your name. |
Fencing Supplies for the New Minis Yard
$2000 The fencing supplies will consist of livestock panels and t-posts to enclose a safe environment for Titania and Oberon to live. These supplies are the most cost effective. We will also need two gates. |
Panels for the Piggy Yards
$1500 One of the biggest safety issues is having good fencing. Our current fencing is very old, rusty, and dilapidated. We don't want the rescues to be able to escape or to get scratched up and hurt on the existing fencing. |
Rescue Dog Yard Fence
$2000 Over the years, the back yard dog yard fencing has grown less secure and more of a safety issue. Stronger and better fencing will help. New fencing will consist of two new gates and panels. |
Ego Lawn mower for small mow areas.
$400 |
Part Time Animal Care Giver - 6 months Hourly Pay
$11,000 Cloven Heart is in need of a part-time (30 hours/weekly) Animal Care Giver. This type of help at the sanctuary will be invaluable to the founders ability to focus on other needs the sanctuary has. This ACG would be responsible for feeding and cleaning up after the rescues. The hourly pay should be $15 which is a livable wage in Texas and brings value to the caregiver. We currently do all the work ourselves and really need the help. |
Cloven Heart Expansion Needs
Cloven Heart has outgrown our 5 acres. We are hopeful that someone knows of an individual or entity that has land they would like to donate to a nonprofit. Sometimes there are individuals who purchase land and never use it. Donating use of that land to a farmed animal sanctuary is a wonderful way to make a difference in this world and our surrounding community. Yes, we are willing to relocate if the land serves the animals safely. The current rescues need more land for their own enrichment. We have programs and community outreach that we'd like to offer, but don't have the physical acreage to support these events. We only seek to do good in this world for animals and as a nonprofit help to educate our community about empathy and kindness towards animals and each other. If you can help, please contact us. |
