Thank you for Helping keep all the resuces Healthy & safe
Emergencies happen. Humans and animals alike often have to seek health care. There are situations where vet care is needed beyond the yearly check up. These emergency situations include new intakes who may have severe health issues, cuts or sores that become infected, accidents that result in lacerations or broken bones, and metabolic or neurological issues that require lifelong care. We need funds in place that will help us to be prepared for any situation that arises and we definitely don't want to be at a disadvantage where the cost of care can't be met. Thanks to you and your support, we can be prepared to handle emergencies and every rescued animal at Cloven Heart can have the care and opportunity to recover and heal.
Sebastien is our barn cat who recently passed (2021) from kidney failure. He lived happily at Cloven Heart for just over a year before we had to make the decision to let him go. His spirit wanted to keep going but his body had wasted away. His kidney care required special food, frequent blood work and exams to monitor his wellness, and special medication and fluids daily.
Lady Bunny is a little rooster that had succumb to frostbite this past February 2021. Despite all preventative measures to keep everyone safe, this little too found himself in need of serious healing. Due to the care he received, his body did heal and he is happily crowing and running around today.

Oberon came to us sick and bony. His recovery was mostly nutritional related as well as vaccination and parasite control. He is a healthy and happy horse today.
Mama Delaney is our oldest sanctuary resident at Cloven Heart. She found herself in an altercation with one of our sheep kiddos. We were able to intervene, but not before serious damage was done. Mama required X-rays, medication, extra round clock care, and a lot of prayer. She suffered broken ribs, one broken horn, and severe physical and emotional trauma. Her recovery was long, but she did heal and is back to her playful ways today with the best appetite and just as joyous as before.

Sydney was rescued with Charlie and Hope in 2018. She lived happily for just over a year before becoming ill with Lymphoma. She need many test and medical care to try to diagnose and help her. Eventually, her body just gave up as she had lost a tremendous amount of weight, had stopped eating, and could not longer get up. She was a true beauty.
Dexter is a beautiful bunny who had been part of an FFA program and was destined to become vulture food. Soon after rescue he became ill with E Cuniculi that is a very difficult pathogen to heal from in bunnies that causes head tilt. He will be on lifelong medication and special care to keep him healthy and living as good a life as he can for however long he can.
