Cloven Heart Farm Sanctuary was established and is operated by mother, Davy, and daughter, Tab. They moved to China Spring, Texas in 2016. They rescued their first sheep/lambs in 2017. The sanctuary was established/registered in 2018. Charity nonprofit status 501c3 was achieved in 2020. Davy and Tab have always been a close family unit. Davy was a single parent most of Tab's life and has always instilled in her a love and respect for animals. The dream was always to have a small farm where farmed animals could be rescued to live out happy lives. Since becoming a sanctuary, the dream has evolved to create a greater impact on farmed animal advocacy.

Lisa Dunford lives in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her husband Jason and their 2 cat sons Fang and Milbert James. Growing up with a cat and loving all animals it was only right to follow a vegan lifestyle path. This path has brought her many friends and especially animal friends onto her social media, and that's how she discovered Cloven Heart. One of the missions of Jason and Lisa's business is to donate to farm sanctuaries and rescues. Not only in donations of money and art, but with time. Joining the Executive Board of Directors for Cloven Heart Farm Sanctuary is a personal dream come true. Being a part of making animals and those that care for them happy and cared for is priceless.

April (she/her) is a lifelong resident of Louisiana. Loves to travel, all things Mardi Gras and ANIMALS. Growing up she always loved animals and her family has always had a house full of cats and dogs but didn’t really realize the plight of other animals until she had one of her beloved nieces become a vegan. Since then, she has tried to be an advocate and Cloven Heart has given her an opportunity to lend her
voice and resources to the animals. Charlie the Cow is who first caught her attention and Cloven Heart’s other adorable animals, message, advocacy and hard-working humans continue to inspire her. She considers herself very fortunate to be part of the Cloven Heart organization. (Best cat ever, Sugar pictured) |
