Nonprofit transparency
It isn't uncommon for most folks to think that nonprofits are scams, even those that rescue animals. The sad reality is that there are too many people out there who actually do scam people out of money, and telling sad stories about animal rescue is a great way to do it. There are people who make up stories about rescuing animals to steal money from people. There are people who make up stories about rescuing animals for their sanctuary and then turn around and sell the animals at auctions. There are people who rescue weekly with horror stories full of peril if you don't help but then you never hear updates on the rescues. Where did they go?
