Being unable to provide hay directly impacts the well-being and survival of the animals at Cloven Heart Farm Sanctuary. Hay is essential for the farm animals' diet, it helps to keep them warm and dry during the winter months and provides them with necessary nutrients for their growth and health. Without enough hay, the animals will not have the sustenance they need to survive and thrive.
Hay is a significant expense for our sanctuary, and without the support of donors, we would not be able to provide the animals with the care they need. By donating, you will be making a tangible and immediate impact on the lives of the animals in our sanctuary, and helping us to continue to provide them with a safe and loving home. As a 501c3 nonprofit animal rescue, we must be fully funded and supported in order to achieve our mission. Symphony's Story
Symphony, wouldn't be alive today without the intervention of Cloven Heart Farm Sanctuary. Too many animals, like Symphony, are betrayed by people who only want to use their bodies to help them make money. In the end, Symphony was starved and thrown away like she was worthless. Animals are perfect victims. They cannot advocate for themselves.They cannot say no or find help. That's why farm sanctuaries, like Cloven Heart, are so necessary. We are so grateful to be able to do the work we do to help farmed animals like Symphony. Symphony came to us broken, and hurt, and ready to give up on life. Cloven Heart refused to give up on her. Our goal was to save her from her nightmare, heal and nourish her, body and spirit, so she could be happy. Today, Symphony is a healthy, happy, and loved senior goat. She is the heart in Cloven Heart. Hay was the biggest life saving resource for healing Symphony. Farmed animals have very simple needs. They live to eat. Hay is what nourishes them and heals them. Cloven Heart Farm Sanctuary is a small sanctuary caring for over 100 rescued animals, all of whom LOVE hay. Hay serves many purposes at the sanctuary. Some animals use hay as a comfy bed or a warm blanket to cuddle under on cold day. Mostly, everyone eats the hay to live and thrive.
We need your help to feed all of these beautiful animals. Because we are a small sanctuary, we do not have a storage facility large enough to handle a yearly hay drive, so we need help each week to get the hay we need to keep everyone's tummy full, to keep everyone happy, and healthy.
