CHAD (rescued June 2019) Chad is a girl turkey that came to live at Cloven Heart in 2019 after falling from a truck that was taking her to be slaughtered. She has had her beak tip cut off and her toe tips cut off which is a common practice in the raising of turkeys for food. Chad has difficulty walking due to her toes and weight. We have to be very careful to not over feed her. She loves to sun bathe. She loves to just lay around and enjoy the sunshine or a cool shade. Her favorite spot is in her barn stall with the fan on her. |
