Right now, too many of our most vulnerable animals—especially the pigs—are living in broken-down shelters that no longer keep out the rain, wind, and cold. Without immediate repairs and replacements, they will suffer through the freezing nights ahead.
We urgently need to:
-Buy new, sturdy pig houses for warmth and safety.
-Provide heat pads, water heaters, and stall warmers to fight the deep freeze.
-Replace cracked troughs, failing hoses, and ensure hydration in subzero temps.
-Stockpile extra hay, alfalfa, and bedding for insulation.
-Patch barn roof leaks before storms hit.
