All too often, as women, we have a tendency to do everything alone. We have taken on an independence that often isolates us and we often find that we build our walls even higher when what we truly want is a community of like-minds and like-hearts. We can create a community on purpose, with purpose so that we don't have to do everything alone. We don't have to feel alone. We don't have to struggle alone. We can have a community there to help with our healing and with our dreams. You can have the life you want with a support system that doesn't obligate you to compromise your self-worth or dreams for your life. It's a revolutionary experience that you may just be ready for.

If you have landed on this page, it's because you are one of those individuals who truly loves animals. You often dream of opening your own sanctuary one day, planning out in your head all the finer details of what your sanctuary will look like and what it will feel like to finally rescue someone. You probably have felt alone in this dream and maybe even said out loud that it's never going to happen for you. Well, there is hope.

Davy Divine, the Director of Operations at Cloven Heart, has come up with a wonderful plan that will help those very special individuals to come live at Cloven Heart and learn first-hand all that is needed to run a farm sanctuary. You will also be a part of a very special group of women who love their independence, wanting to take in all the world has to offer. Together, we will work as co-directors of the sanctuary and a community of support for each other.

THE DREAM
Every day I want to wake up in a world where women live without fear. Where as individuals, we know that the people who surround us are accepting and kind. I have a sisterhood where we understand the goal and the mission for our dreams and of our selves. We have true friendship.  We love and care for the animals.  We have time to enjoy our lives daily. If we get sick or hurt, we are not alone. If we feel sad or unseen, we are not alone. We have time to take care of ourselves, heal our trauma, cater to our self-awareness and identity. I can still travel because I know that my sisterhood is safe, the animals are safe. I can still pursue other personal goals because I am mentally, physically, and spiritually inspired by my daily existence and the utopian-like environment that I live in with truly fabulous and successful women. I want to see this movement grow and to create workshops and retreats for women to learn more about themselves and how to live an inspired and resilient life in this world, full of healing and self-love.

FAQ

1. IS THERE A CONTRACT? There is no time commitment. If and when you feel it is time to move on, you are always free to go.
2. WHERE WILL I LIVE? You will be required to bring your own tiny house. The goal is to create a tiny house living community and to grow a strong 4B community.
3. WHY IS IT 4B? WHO MAKES THE RULES FOR THIS COMMUNITY? This community is reserved only for those women who are child-free, unmarried, and not in current relationships or dating. We deserve the opportunity to feel supported and to have strong women surround us who inspire us and genuinely understand the complications that come with living in a patriarchal society. Women are also safe people and understand what it means to create a safe environment for each other as well as for the rescued animals. Any and all rules will be created by, adhered to by,  and upheld by the women who reside here and who choose to be part of this revolution. If at any time you realize that you want to get married, you are always free to move on in your journey.
4. CAN I BRING MY PET? Small pets can be taken under consideration. There are safety percautions for both them and the rescues who currently live here.
5. WHY DO WE EAT TOGETHER? This community will meet daily via meals to bond/stay connected, feel seen and heard. Weekly meetings will happen to discuss sanctuary goals and animal care.
6. WHY CAN'T I DATE? This community is about building up women, healing, personal growth, increased understanding of self through our discussions, communal gatherings, our shared experiences through the sanctuary. No dating or males allowed to stay overnight on premises out of respect for the movement and the other women present. The only men allowed on premises are volunteers, service providers, and vendors for events.
7. DO I HAVE TO WORK/ GET A JOB? You should bring your career with you or find work to support yourself while at the sanctuary. You have personal needs and debts that you will want to take care of. You will also want to have personal income to pursue personal goals and interests, like traveling, that may have costs.
8. DO I HAVE TO PAY RENT? You will be expected to contribute $500 monthly to sustain the property's upkeep and an initial gift of $1000 towards the sanctuary. This allows for us to take care of the property, make repairs and improvements and also shows your commitment to the sanctuary.
9. DO I GET PAID AS A CO-DIRECTOR OF THE SANCTUARY? DO I HAVE TO WORK AT THE SANCTUARY? Your title establishes your commitment to the growth and success of the sanctuary. The directors work as a team to make the sanctuary an amazing place, fulfilling its mission. You will have responsibilities that help make the sanctuary amazing. You should only be here because you want to be part of the sanctuary. All your contributions are voluntary. There are no paid staff at this sanctuary. Instead of one person trying to achieve all the sanctuary goals alone, always exhausted, underfunded, and unable to meet satisfactory standards, can you imagine what six, amazing, strong, talented, smart women can do with just 2 hours daily devoted to the sanctuary. Responsibilities will include: one animal care task, one fundraising and one administrative task. Shared responsibility because we are here living out one of our life's dream, having a farm sanctuary.
10. WHY ONLY 6? Because this is the start of something new, we want to have a small enough group to start, to make this new reality and beautiful experience, so that when we are ready to open up to the next group welcomed in, we are established and transitions to this new way of living can be easier.
11. IS THIS A CULT? Do you want it to be? Ideally, a utopian-like society made of up of kick-ass women who are ready to live their lives according to their own vision. Finally, an opportunity to live life how you want without so much struggle because you are part of a community. But, if it were a cult, Davy would be the leader.
12. WHO CHOOSES WHO GETS IN? We will do zoom meetings to meet each other, ask questions, learn more. Depending on how many are interested, we will all choose who the first 6 will be. Seems awkward, but you get to choose who you feel you are meshing with the best and are interested in knowing better as a sisterhood. We'll see how that plays out and Davy will make the calls to the new 4b sanctuary group.
